Lehigh Valley Passport to History at the 1803 House...July 22nd from 1-am to 4pm and 23rd from noon to 4pm: The Lehigh Valley Passport to History is a celebration of local history, stories, and the community that brings Lehigh Valley history to life. The event gives an opportunity for visitors, to explore local history through a variety of museum tours, interactive exhibits, children’s activities, and more. 
This year we will be featuring vintage candle making, old fashioned toys and games with hands on fun for all, scavenger hunts, personal house tours, archaeological dig news, American Flag education and our herb garden in full bloom. Also, brought back by popular demand, we will be serving the “Old Fashioned Root Beer Float” in an 1803 House commemorative mug.   Enjoy a drink and snacks under our big Butternut shade tree. 
            

2022 Lehigh Valley Passport to History at the 1803 House

The 1803 House was open on July 23rd from 10am to 4pm and July 24th from noon to 4pm: They featured vintage toys and games with hands on fun for all, an outdoor photo scavenger hunt, personal house tours, archaeological dig news and our herb garden in full bloom. This year we will be featuring an old-fashioned “Peppermint Stick Lemon Squeeze”, which we call “Jacob’s Juice,” and old-fashioned lemonade. 2021 Lehigh Valley Passport to History at the 1803 House

2021 Lehigh Valley Passport to History...August 14th-15th: The “Grand Opening” this past weekend at the 1803 House was a big success. In participation with the Lehigh Valley Passport to History Month, the 1803 House was open for the first time in 19 months with vintage candle making, outdoor photo scavenger hunt, personal house tours, archeological dig update, history of the Emmaus Moravian settlers, herb garden display, those wonderful old fashioned root beer floats and just relaxing under the shade tree. Thank you to those who visited and the Lehigh Valley Passport to History for organizing this wonderful event! 1803 House Tours:


Step inside and go back in time to the early 1800's after the Moravians had settled in Emmaus. This beautiful renovated "time capsule" of the past is a vital link to our heritage and one of the oldest structures in the borough of Emmaus. The 1803 House offers tours by appointment only for families, groups or individuals. Each tour is given by 1803 House Board members. Since we totally rely on donations to achieve our mission, we would greatly appreciate a donation. To Visit;
